Clinical context comes first
Efatha is shaped around the realities of in-person care—not a generic translation workflow adapted after the fact.
About Efatha
I’ve spent over ten years in medical interpreting, working across clinics, hospitals, and workers’ compensation. In that time I’ve personally helped thousands of people through their most vulnerable moments, usually after a life-altering diagnosis or a devastating work injury that completely shifted their life.
My parents came from El Salvador and built a life here. I grew up watching family and people in our community navigate a system that wasn’t built for them, and I saw how scary a complicated medical system becomes when you’re facing it in a language that isn’t yours. Pair that with a broken interpreter procurement system, and you get doctors and patients both frustrated, unable to get their point across.
I built Efatha myself, out of a vision that goes beyond transmitting words. It’s about understanding a person’s needs as a whole. Language should be the last thing providers and patients worry about when they walk into a room, and I’ve made it my work to give every person the dignity of being understood.
Efatha is rooted in principles of my personal faith, and it’s the culmination of a life’s work: making a real impact, one encounter at a time.

Why Efatha exists
Clinical conversations move quickly. When language support is delayed or difficult to access, teams may be left trying to work around a communication gap at exactly the wrong moment.
Efatha is focused on the in-person encounter: two people in the same room, using a common phone or tablet to begin interpreting in about five seconds.
The goal is not to make broad claims about replacing qualified human interpreters. It is to give clinical teams a dependable option for the moments when immediate in-room language access is needed.
How Efatha is being built
Efatha is shaped around the realities of in-person care—not a generic translation workflow adapted after the fact.
Product claims, security language, and workflow expectations should be specific enough for clinical and enterprise review.
The technology should support the people in the room without making the encounter feel more complicated.
